Backyard Birds

For some reason, the goldfinches like to swing on the hummingbird feeders that are just inches from the kitchen window. This little fellow was just showing off for the camera, I think.

Mama bluebird about to feed her babies. She is standing on top of the nesting box. I think she looks dreadfully skinny from this angle. I tried to get a pix of her feeding the babies, so you could see her beautiful blue color, but she would have nothing to do with that, of course.

I can't seem to stop taking pix of these flowers (or squirrels). They're so photogenic. Unfortunately, I can't remember their name. I know the squirrels names: Piglet, Runt, Larry, Moe, and Curly.

I'm really not sure what this is. I've had it for years. I found it in this house when we moved here. It's about the size of a pint jar. I've always loved it. Dear husband drilled a drainage hole in the bottom of it for me. Now, it can be a planter.
