Mountain Icicles

I live in the mountains of southeastern Kentucky. Many of our highways are carved through the mountains, leaving tall cliffs on either side of the road. When it rains, run-off spills out of the hills and down the cliffs causing thousands of waterfalls on the sides of the roads. Some are big, but most are very small and some only appear as mist. In the winter, after heavy rains, all the water freezes into magnificent icicles.

Beautiful! We have a mountain like that around here that is carved out of the road and gets icicles on it like that. I always slow down so I can take a good long look when I drive by.
