I know this is not a very good pix. I took it in the rain with a tablet on the way to church yesterday. We happened to see it on a sign in a parking lot when we stopped to buy a Sunday newspaper. This moth doesn't have a mouth. It doesn't live long enough to eat. It comes from the largest caterpillar in North America, the Hickory Horned Devil.The caterpillar grows up to five inches in length and is a full inch wide. I've never seen one.
